‘Values, Money and Me' — free KS1 & KS2 economic wellbeing resource achieves our Quality Mark

The PSHE Association is excited to announce that 'Values, Money and Me' - a free online resource from Experian to help KS1 and KS2 pupils explore the world of money and economic wellbeing - has been awarded the PSHE Quality Mark. 'Values, Money and Me' contains 10 character-led story units, each of which centres on a storybook with accompanying downloadable lesson plans and classroom materials, as well as online interactive quizzes and games.

Pupils will enjoy following the lives and experiences of the stories’ characters, who are all dealing with dilemmas and challenges around money.

PSHE Association Subject Specialist Sally Martin says: “The stories — designed specifically for interactive whiteboards — will help to engage pupil’s interest and effectively distance the learning. They each link directly to detailed lesson plans with teaching resources plus links to home/school learning and cross-curricular activities. Pupils are encouraged to reflect on the morals explored within the stories and develop skills that will help them to manage money effectively in the future. Economic wellbeing is a vital part of PSHE education and has a clear impact on health and relationships, so this resource will serve teachers well when planning their programmes. We are therefore delighted to grant Money, Values and Me our Quality Mark for PSHE education resources.”
